Playing nice togehter.... not hard is it.. sort it out!

Right guys, i rarely have a teddy/pram/launch issue but I'm very saddened and disappointed at some thoroughly erroneous claims made by individuals an d teams on a forum or two lately concerning CIA/PBI/DOUGHBOYS et al. Firstly can i state that its a small scene, we need to work together, silly bitching and backbiting will end us all. Let the government and MAG try and stop us gaming not each other. Now i'm not going to name names unless the culprits want to admit it but the following has been alleged and its annoyed me. See claim and then our (PBIs) opinion on it. "The CIA (PBI, Doughboys etc ) are generally for over 18's , invite only and only open up to us "lesser mortals" when they need more players to make up the No's" Utter rubbish, one game was invite only between two teams. Every other game has been open to all comers "they dont like the 101st Airborne much" Again utter rubbish, we just havnt run a game featuring them yet, while you may be happy with a skirmish in silly kit where japanese snipers ally with the waffen ss as they repulse the 82nd airborne aided by the arctic warfare cadre... we're not. We value history. A critical fact is that the 101st only took part in a limited number of ops, we cant shoehorn them into every game to keep a few players happy. For christs sake we wrote an entire US airborne game and you didnt want to play cos you were asked to rebadge as 82nd or even easier still simply unpick your badge and go unbadged... Can i also add wth all due respect you are not in the 101st airborne, its not about disliking a unit, i'd have the same problem with an Afrika Korps player who insisted he was fitted into our Normandy scenarios.. its just makes a mockery of history and the veterans. For the record I have a associate who is a Major in the REAL 101st airborne and I get on with him fine... The closest I have been to airborne is the top of my stairs and i'd hazard a guess thats true for many airborne players.. for petes sake dont get so territorial about a unit you have never been in, have no family ties to and will never be in. "Gunman games will allow younger players and also have kit and gun hire available" I consider Josh a friend, and you're right he does do the above, thats cos Josh, (great bloke that he is) is also a commercial site operator, we're not, while i'd love to have 40 mp40s at my disposal my bank manager might query it. We do however loan out kit and guns for *FREE* to those that want to play and dont have the kit. Josh also has the insurance to allow younger players and makes the commercial decision to do so - we CANNOT we are bound by the regulations of the site that kindly play host to us. " PBI are a picky bunch and if there's a piece of kit out of place you're sunk...and they won't let you play." Utter tosh again.. is this why we lend out kit, is this why we write in roles in games for players who dont have certain types of kit or we write in partisan parts? Or do you mean we wouldn't let you play 101 airborne at Arnhem BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT THERE! Please check the PBI 'kit loan' thread to see evidence of this. I feel it is utterly deplorable to slate the CiA forums and its constitute groups on other public fora and then frequent here when it suits you to market your event or buy kit.... Disgraceful nefarious behaviour and rather bad form IMO. rant over.... Should any of you have the moral fortitude to attend our June game... I'll be happy to try and give you the best day ever and prove you wrong. You will be welcomed as any other player and hopefully we can use the day to put this silliness behind us.

PMSL twaddle it maybes (indeed some by me) but at least its twaddle I've read. Damn its not fair working in a lab and not being online and missing stuff.

I vote in future that all squabbling should be sorted by jellibaff wrestling, I can fill the pool up with it in the garden (can even let you pick your choice of colour), and let the chaps entertain me :rofl: surew the kids wouldn't mind allowing their inflatable Peutal sticks being used as well :rofl: well maybes not, have we at least agreed to disagree on whatever the twaddle was about ? :slap:

Will HS bring the special lights so it looks like "special" gloop though, would look quite different in the jellibaff wrestling stakes, who knows could start a whole trend off.... can i have a section of the forum for it ? :rofl:

wtf i only use one forum this one the reason being any other forum ive come across has been full of school yard bickering and gaylords crying about nowt .i dont know who is involved or what its about i dont care. this is an open and free forum and a non profit making one at that .if you dont like it here feck off someware else its that simple .now can we please get back to posting utter nonsense.
